Visit the working property, home of Bogong Horseback Adventures, any season of the year. Ride the mountain bred horses in their spectacular backyard. Stay with the Bogong Baird’s and share the experiences of everyday life combined with warm country hospitality.
Each beautifully appointed king ensuite room has a patio and stunning views across the horse paddocks or sunny north-facing windows. With a delicious farm breakfast included it is a perfect base from which to explore the High Country.
Spring Spur Stay’s ride and stay packages or clinics are available throughout the year. All rides include brilliant riding terrain on one of our good-natured Spring Spur bred Australian Stock horses. The rides travel the stock routes of the beautiful Kiewa Valley through river crossing into the scented peppermint and woollybutt forests of the Alpine National Park.

Eagles Nest Hideaway Guest Suites are a great place to stay for that long-awaited getaway.
The guest suites comprise two bedrooms, a private bathroom, kitchenette, outdoor terrace, an additional area with barbecue and outdoor setting. The property offers comfortable accommodation to relax and unwind, enjoying the local wildlife.
The suite accommodates up to five guests. Bedroom one has a king bed, can be split into two king singles. Bedroom two has a queen bed, plus a single bed. All bed linen and bath towels provided by the host.
The kitchenette, has a dining table, workbench area, kitchen appliances, microwave, fridge, crockery, specifically set up to meet with your daily essentials and a barbecue area outside. No kitchen provided.
Only a four-hour drive from Melbourne, Mount Beauty is a three-kilometre drive, where there are taverns, cafes and restaurants. Falls Creek is a 33-kilometre drive where activities are abundant for all ages. Travelling time to Bright is approximately 30 minutes.

A popular base for outdoor activities from downhill mountain bike riding for the adrenalin seekers to a peaceful game of golf or enjoy tranquil fishing in a clear mountain stream. Falls Creek is Australia’s premier alpine village for ski and snowboard enthusiasts and in summer you can enjoy bushwalking.
The Dederang Hotel is a first-class example of everything a great classic country pub has to offer. It has a public bar, dining room, beer garden, and lounge. It is kid-friendly and dog-friendly, and you can also find accommodation here. They offer a great selection of pub meals from the classic Parmi and Steak Sandwich, through to a delicious chicken curry or Farmers Plate for those wanting something a bit different.
Situated at the foothills to the stunning Victorian Alps, Dederang is surrounded by lush rolling hills, grazing dairy cows, and is the perfect place to stop on your way to Mt Beauty or Falls Creek.
They are located 30 minutes from Myrtleford, 50 minutes from Bright, 35 minutes from Beechworth and 40 minutes from Wodonga.
A mountain of experiences with Bogong Horseback Adventures jammed into four days. Riding the best of the High Country, camping at the bushranger Bogong Jack’s hideout. Canter to the top of the Bluff where you can view Mount Feathertop and Mount Fainter at just over 6,000 feet. Ride onto Pretty Valley and the sweet pastures of the Bogong Brumbies.
This ride offers spectacular views and delicious campfire meals. Then the expedition descends back into the Valley of the Kiewa via Big Hill to all the comforts of Spring Spur, swapping your swag for a luxurious bed and delicious home cooked dinner.
