Horsemanship clinic in a spectacular classroom, beyond the yard and stable. Advance your horse and rider relationship in a working environment. Great horses, beautiful camps, brumby country, experienced leaders.
This five day travelling clinic combines the rewards of a remote packhorse expedition with the the extra dimension of horsemanship skill building in a working environment. The experienced horse masters offer ongoing advice and ideas throughout the expedition.
Although all BHA rides include basic Natural Horsemanship, these clinics are an opportunity to focus on horsemanship, observe brumbies in there natural wild herd environment, learn the traditions of using packhorses, bush skills, camping with horses and problem solving the challenges of horses in remote landscapes.
On these expeditions there is an opportunity to bring your horse or use one of BHA’s own bred and trained mountain horses. Offering one on one mentoring, the Natural Horsemanship mobile clinics will be run this year by Lin and Clay Baird.

Welcome the New Year with an unforgettable experience. This Mount Bogong expedition features great landscapes, bush camps, spectacular riding terrain, great horses and local food and wine.
Journey onto the High Country via East Kiewa and Timms Spur taking in the stunning views across to Mount Bogong before descending down Track 107 into the heritage gold mining area below Mt Wills.
The second half of this tour climbs up the Long Spur track to a camp in the snowgums before traversing across Mount Bogong; the highest accessible horse riding landscape in Australia. The shore footed horses take us down Eskdale Spur and back to the home paddock at Spring Spur.
A classic mountain ultra trail running race by Trailsplus across the rooftop of Victoria’s High Country. The iconic Bogong to Hotham (B2H) Rooftop Run enjoyed a successful return in 2024 for its 33rd running, back to a grass roots format and they look forward to their 35th running in 2026.
B2H is a classic race with a rich history embedded in Australian trail running folklore.
Starting at Mountain Creek Campground near Tawonga, runners climb Victoria’s highest mountain, Mt Bogong, descend T-Spur to Big River before the next big climb up Duane’s Spur to reach the Bogong High Plains.
Passing through the main aid station at Langford Gap, runners continue across the high plains before dropping to the Cobungra River and climbing Swindler’s Spur on the way to the finish at Mt Hotham summit.
Undoubtedly, one of the toughest races mile-for-mile in Australia, it offers the most spectacular views, the most amazing experience and a real challenge for trail runners.
Runners, their families and support crews are encouraged to visit the Mt Beauty area before the race and to stay a couple of days after to take in the beautiful mountain areas of north-east Victoria.

The winter ascent experience on Mount Bogong, Victoria’s highest peak, in the snow.
This adventure is for bush walkers and hikers who are excited to see the high country in winter. You will cover around 16 kilometres and return via the Staircase Spur track to the summit.
The tour begins at Mountain Creek Camp car park which is located at the base of Mt Bogong. After making sure everyone has the right equipment for the adventure we will start the climb up Staircase Spur Track.
Climb eight kilometres to the summit encountering beautiful alpine vegetation and spectacular views of the high plains.
